Choose Collaborative!

There is still very little awareness out there of what the collaborative law option in divorce cases actually means. What is really needed is a celeb divorce like Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin to go collaborative, and the whole world would sit up.

Around the country there are local groups of collaboratively trained family lawyers who meet every couple of months or so in their pods as they are called, and our Peterborough Group have recently had a re-launch, taking on the name THE BEST DIVORCE OPTIONS GROUP. Have a look on our website which can be found at www.bestdivorceoptions.co.uk. All the local family law solicitors who are collaboratively trained and keen to represent clients in their separations and divorces in this much more constructive and less stressful method, are listed. The solicitor for each spouse has to be collaboratively trained and there are a number of us around in the Peterborough and Stamford area. Instead of months of correspondence between solicitors, you have four-way meetings which can be as many or few as you choose, with agreed agendas and a signed up commitment not to go to court. The collaborative method is particularly appropriate where there are young children as it minimizes the fall out that inevitably follows from the ending of a relationship.

If you are facing divorce or know somebody who is, do look us up.
