Belinda Smith, founder of Belinda Smith & Co Solicitors and highly respected solicitor with a career spanning four decades, passed away in April 2024.

Having qualified in 1984, Belinda initially distinguished herself as a Crown Prosecutor before transitioning to private practice. Belinda founded Belinda Smith & Co in June 2008 following a successful career leading a family law team at a large regional law firm. Since then, the firm has built an outstanding reputation locally for delivering a comprehensive range of family legal services for those in need of advice and representation in cases of relationship breakdown in Peterborough, Bourne and the surrounding areas.

Over her 40-year career Belinda built on her expertise in family law, specialising in public law cases and was a long-standing member of the Law Society Children Panel. Belinda was also a member of the national family solicitors association, Resolution and a fully trained collaborative lawyer.
